Meet Jenie Edwards, RN

My career started as an ICU trauma nurse where I worked for many years until my eventual burnout. From there, I transitioned into the ambulatory setting working primarily with older adults in various capacities. Over the years, I have seen a lot of changes in our healthcare system, few of which were promising and I constantly felt like I wasn't doing anything remotely close to helping people be well.

In January of 2025, while I was at the gym in my usual group class I finally listened to that voice inside and discovered my path: helping women age well and top of that list was addressing menopause symptoms through lifestyle changes. I wanted to provide education, support, and resources that can help women make lifestyle choices that address their needs now and in the years to follow. So I started researching menopause specific training which is interestingly very limited. I was eventually able to find a reputable program and started my training. I first obtained my certification as a menopause weight loss coach and by August of 2025 I had completed my practitioner training and launched Midlife Thrive.

I'm excited to share the knowledge I have received coupled with my nursing knowledge and work with women to help give them the tools and confidence to make choices that align with their needs. Together, we can thrive through our midlife and beyond!

What the Future Holds

In recent years, the medical community has started to pay more attention to what midlife really looks like for women. We now know that many menopause symptoms can be managed effectively through lifestyle changes—without resorting to expensive products or temporary fixes. More importantly, we’re beginning to understand what it takes to age well, with strength, vitality, and confidence.

Let’s face it—we’ve spent decades putting our bodies through a lot:
Overuse from sports or physical work, poor diet choices, stress, alcohol/medications, and long stretches of sitting behind desks or carpool lines. Like us, our bodies are asking for something different. They're ready for change—and we need to listen.

More Than Just Education—A Supportive Community

This is more than a coaching program or a one-size-fits-all solution. I’m building a community of like-minded women who are ready to support one another in ways that feel right and real. A space to feel heard, informed, and empowered.

Beyond providing education and recommendations for supportive products, It is my hope that I can bring women together for social events and activities. As you will learn through my program, one of the most compelling reason for women in the blue zones having such success in living a long, healthy life is based on having purpose and social connection and I want to create that for us here.

I aim to offer multi-day retreats as a starting point and eventually, have a space where we can come together with those we love to have fun and commune, the way things were done so many years ago.

I look forward to seeing you now and at future events as not only this program but as YOU grow into something phenomenal!
